images of Total Recall come to mind every time I hear about DNA or gene therapy. Are we ready for this?
For all we know, someone might look and function normally, but the effects could be on such a profound level that we might not know to gauge the side effects.
In the case of the article, the woman died, so duh, it didn't work. Does anyone know if there's any international governing body? historically, such efforts fail. But perhaps all the DNA scientists could have their private version of twitter, and when one does an "oops" the others know about it. Can we call it: Scwitter?
